39. What effect does Beatty have on Montag? “Needle” means that Beatty is picking on him, and it is to try to either a. brainwash him back into stupidity or b. make him admit he’s reading books and wants to learn.
40. What interrupted the poker game? A fire call.
41. Captain Beatty drove the Salamander to what house? Montag’s.

1. Journal: 7th/8th grade: If you were forced to be on your own, would you be able to survive? [Like you are stranded at sea, or in the wilderness… would you make it? Why or why not?]
                   10th grade: “Happiness only real when shared.” Christopher McCandless [Into the Wild].  In F451, Montag is really going through life alone. [Um, hello, you have met Millie. She’s basically like talking to a brick.] Is this quote true in regards to Montag? Or life in general.

4. 7th grade:
    Finish reading Collections 7: “Sorry, Wrong Number” on page 111 – 124.   Do questions on 126, Analyzing the Text: #’s 2, 3, 4, 5.
